How cool is this?

Now I hate to turn my blog into a place that I rarely post save to brag about my stuff, but I think this is noteworthy enough to post.

Anyhow, I was checking my server logs, and it seems that FRINGE Laboratory (the Fringe equivalent of The Lost Podcast) has started using my Google Audio Widget to push out their content. THIS IS SO COOL! I love Fringe so much. You should all start watching it.

Speaking of Fringe, I want to note that I think it’s hilarious that when I turned the TV on to watch Episode 2 of this season, it was already on the right station because the last time the TV was on was last week for Episode 1. These are the things that make me enjoy having a Chem major for a roommate.

What is this‽

I’m not really sure what’s going on here, but I’m deeply honored. Apparently, FOX News stations across the country have been adding my widgets to their web sites. Everything from RSS feeds to Twitter feeds are popping up, and they’re all choosing my widgets to make it work.

The latest FOX news station to add my widget is Fox6 Wakeup Call. How cool is that!

Michigan Tech

Michigan Technological University (mtu.edu) is officially using my Socialfeed Twitter widget on their Current Students page. Now that’s fancy!

UPDATE
After looking just a little harder at my logs, I found out that I’m also being used by KRON4, a television station in the Bay Area (woo hoo!) to manage their latest news links. What’s more? My widget is 600x300 pixels on their homepage. That’s right, every time you hit kron.com, you’re also hitting Matt Basta’s widget servers. How cool is that!

Hey, hey you! Yeah, you! Remember that hit counter that I built a while back? Well it’s officially passed 1000 installations! Hooray! What does that mean? It means that I’m movin’ on up in this world! Actually not really. It just means that since my server hasn’t buckled under the weight of the widget, I’m doing something right.

Hooray for doing something right!
